Quadratic Functions Algebra 1 Math Intervention Unit

This Algebra 1 intervention review unit gives extra practice to students who are struggling with solving and graphing quadratic equations. It is editable. The worksheets are not meant to be used for full class lessons, although they could be if that is your preference.

How to use it

Keep this unit printed in a binder in your classroom. Intervention teachers, assistants and volunteers can easily grab it and work with a small group of students on a set of skills designated by you.

Students can complete the worksheets as printed sheets. You can also place the sheets in sheet protectors and give them to students for reusable, dry erase practice.

What each skill includes

• A tracking sheet for recording the dates and scores for each activity as well as the entire unit
• A simple pre and post assessment for each skill cluster
• Scaffolded notes in two versions, blank and completely filled in. The notes have been broken down for students to fill in the details. Since this will not be the first time students have seen the information, they are not as detailed as introductory notes.
• A review sheet with a quick review, a student input section and problems intended to be used as guided practice
• A practice worksheet to use as independent or partner practice
• An error analysis sheet where each problem is solved incorrectly. Students identify the error(s) and then solve correctly.

An editable version is included, and you must have PowerPoint to use it. Instructions have been provided in the download to help you edit, so read the “HOW TO EDIT” file first. The questions and headings may be edited. The template itself may not.
