Algebra 1 students who are struggling with solving and graphing inequalities in one and two variables get extra practice in this editable intervention unit. The worksheets are not meant for full class lessons. You could use them that way if that is your preference.

Skills covered

  • Review of solving one and two-step inequalities
  • Solving multi-step inequalities
  • Solving compound inequalities
  • Solving absolute value inequalities
  • Graphing inequalities in two variables

What’s included

For each skill you get:

  • Tracking sheet for recording the dates and scores for each activity as well as the entire unit
  • Pre and post assessment (a simple pre and post assessment is included)
  • Scaffolded notes that have been broken down for students to fill in the details. This will not be the first time students have seen the information, so the notes are not as detailed as introductory notes. Two versions are included, blank and completely filled in.
  • Review sheet with a quick review, a student input section and problems intended to be used as guided practice
  • Practice worksheet to use as independent or partner practice
  • Error analysis in which each problem is solved incorrectly. Students identify the error(s) and then solve correctly.

How to use it

Print it and keep it in a binder in your classroom. When an intervention teacher, assistant or volunteer has a small group, they can grab the binder and work on the set of skills you have designated.

The worksheets can be completed as printed sheets. You can also slide them into sheet protectors and give them to students as reusable dry erase practice.
