This intervention unit focuses on solving word problems. This product is EDITABLE so you are able to modify the questions and notes to fit your needs. {{Some figures are secured to the background to protect copyright and therefore cannot be edited}}

This 5th Grade Math Intervention Unit is designed to provide extra practice resources for 5th Grade students. The worksheets are not meant to be used for full-class lessons (although they could be if that is your preference).

Skills Covered:

• Whole Number Word Problems
• Decimal Operation Word Problems
• Fraction Operation Word Problems
• Geometry Word Problems

Each skill comes with the following resources :

• Tracking Sheet – Record the dates and scores for each activity as well as the entire unit.
• Pre and Post-Assessments – A simple pre and post-assessment is included.
• Scaffolded Notes – Scaffolded notes are provided for solving word problems in general. They are not included for each (fractions, decimals, etc.)
• Review Sheet – A quick review, student input section, and problems intended to be used as guided practice.
• Practice Worksheet – Use as independent or partner practice.
• Error Analysis – Each problem is solved incorrectly. Students identify the error(s) and then solve them correctly

Suggestions for Use :

Keep this resource printed in a binder in your classroom. Intervention teachers, assistants, volunteers, etc. can easily grab it and work with a small group of students on a set of skills designated by you. Worksheets can be completed as printed sheets, or placed in sheet protectors and given to students for re-usable, dry-erase practice.
