Geometry 6th Grade Math Intervention Unit

For 6th grade students who are struggling with basic geometry concepts, this geometry intervention unit has activities and assessments that help them gain a better understanding. It focuses on key topics such as points, volume, polygons, area and perimeter.

The explanations are easy to understand, and the goal is a strong foundation in geometry and better problem-solving skills. The unit is editable, so you are able to modify the questions and notes to fit your needs. It also aligns with my 6th Grade Geometry Curriculum Unit.

What each skill includes

• Tracking sheet: record the dates and scores for each activity as well as the entire unit.
• Pre and post assessments: a simple pre and post assessment is included. Assessments are also available in Google Forms.
• Review sheet: a quick review, a student input section and problems intended to be used as guided practice.
• Practice worksheet: use as independent or partner practice.
• Error analysis: each problem is solved incorrectly. Students identify the error(s) and then solve correctly.
• Small group planning sheets

How to use it

Keep this resource printed in a binder in your classroom. Intervention teachers, assistants, volunteers and other helpers can easily grab it and work with a small group of students on a set of skills designated by you.

Worksheets can be completed as printed sheets, or placed in sheet protectors and given to students for reusable, dry erase practice.
