Percent of a Number Pairs Check Activity

Students find the percent of a number (in multiples of 5 and 10) in this cooperative learning activity for 6th and 7th grade, then use their coloring pages to check their answers with a student who has the other half of the page. It combines a coloring activity with a self-checking pairs check.

How it works

1. Some students are given “Page A” and others are given “Page B”.
2. Each student completes the page, both the solving and the coloring.
3. They find someone who has the opposite page.
4. Partners fold their papers in half and match up their coloring pages. If both students are correct, the two coloring pages line up.

Each page has different questions, but they lead to an answer with the same color.
