How it works
The lessons are scaffolded. Here is what each part of the unit does:
- Warm-ups and bell ringers: structured, spiraled daily warm-up and exit ticket exercises that keep students focused
- Guided notes: step-by-step explanations alongside fill-in-the-blank sections, with visual aids, clear definitions, and practical examples. Students work with the material as they fill in the notes, and the notes keep them organized.
- Practice worksheets: multiple worksheets for independent practice and skill reinforcement
- Activities and quizzes: station-based activities, mazes, and formative assessments to check for understanding at every step
- Vocabulary resources: key geometry terms and definitions, with fillable vocabulary sheets
- Teacher planning: a pacing calendar, common misconceptions, and other planning resources
Word problems and tasks connect the geometry to everyday scenarios. For assessment, the unit has exit tickets, quizzes, and a unit exam. The editable version lets you customize the unit for your needs.
