Geometric Properties Scavenger Hunt – High School Geometry Activity
$3.50
A 20-card scavenger hunt for high school geometry on the Segment and Angle Addition Postulates and the properties of equality and congruence.
For this scavenger hunt, high school geometry students move around the room, solving the problem on each card to find the next clue. They identify and apply geometric properties such as the Segment Addition Postulate, the Angle Addition Postulate, and various properties of equality and congruence.
What’s included
- Question cards: 20 cards, each with a geometric problem involving properties such as the Angle Addition Postulate, Substitution Property and Vertical Angles Theorem
- Student recording sheet: students record their answers and track their progress as they move through the hunt
- Hint sheet: extra guidance for struggling students
- Answer key
- Detailed instructions
How it works
Students solve problems at different stations and follow clues to the next card, working in groups or pairs to solve each one. They stay active for the whole lesson.
Use it for classwork, group activities or review sessions. It can also be adapted for informal assessments or competitions.
Good to know
The activity meets Common Core Standard G-CO.9 and Mathematical Practice Standards MP.2, MP.3 and MP.4.
