Combining Like Terms Cooperative Learning Math Activity
$2.00
Partner game for grades 6 to 8. Students roll dice, combine like terms and place bingo chips, competing to get five in a row.
Pairs of middle school students roll dice, solve problems and place bingo chips in this game for practicing combining like terms. It brings game-style rules and some competition to an expressions lesson.
How it works
Students play in pairs. They roll dice to select a problem, then solve it to place a chip. The two players compete to get five boxes in a row.
The bingo-style format suits in-class practice or review, and the repetition builds accuracy and fluency with simplifying expressions. Run it as a class activity, as independent practice, or as a quick assessment.
