Chords and Arcs Circuit Activity – Circle Relationships High School Geometry

$2.00

Self-checking circuit for high school geometry with 10 problems on arc measures, chords, central angles, and inscribed angles. Answer keys included.

Ten circuit problems give high school geometry students practice solving for arc measures using relationships involving central angles, inscribed angles, chords, and arcs.

How it works

Students begin at Problem 1, solve the question, then locate the next problem based on the correct numerical answer. The circuit continues until they return to the starting point.

The format is self-checking. A single error will prevent students from completing the loop correctly.

What’s included

  • 10 circuit-style problems focused on chords and arcs
  • Student circuit worksheet for recording the problem path and answers
  • Student work page for showing work
  • Complete answer keys showing the circuit path and numerical solutions
  • Teacher notes including prerequisite skills, common student errors, and implementation suggestions

The problems require students to:

  • Find unknown arc measures
  • Solve for variables using algebraic expressions
  • Apply central and inscribed angle relationships
  • Use properties of congruent chords and congruent arcs

Skills covered

  • Solving for arc measures using central angles and inscribed angles
  • Using the relationship between congruent chords and congruent arcs (each one implies the other)
  • Writing and solving algebraic expressions involving arcs
  • Applying multi-step arc relationships
  • Tracking solutions accurately in a circuit format

Quick facts

  • Grades: 8–10
  • CCSS: HSG-C.A.2, HSG-C.B.5
  • Answer key: included
