Area of a Sector and Arc Length Scavenger Hunt – High School Geometry
$3.00
A 12-card scavenger hunt for high school geometry on calculating arc length and area of a sector. Includes a recording sheet, answer key and teacher notes.
Twelve problem cards give high school geometry students structured practice calculating sector area and arc length in real-world and geometric scenarios.
How it works
Students solve one problem card, then use the previous answer shown on the card to determine which problem to visit next, recording their work on a tracking sheet. The format is self-checking: an incorrect answer prevents students from progressing correctly through the activity.
Skills covered
- Calculating arc length using central angles
- Calculating area of sectors
- Converting fractional parts of circles to degrees
- Solving for radius given arc length or sector area
- Distinguishing between arc length and sector area
- Applying circle formulas in real-world contexts
