6th Grade Math Halloween Activity – Multi-Skill Escape Room Style Activity

Escape the Haunted House is an escape-room-style Halloween math activity for 6th grade. In 45-60 minutes, students solve one-step equations, work with ratios, divide fractions by whole numbers, and find area and perimeter to open doors and escape from a haunted house.

How it works

Students move through four Haunted House rooms, solving math problems to advance: Frank’s Laboratory, The Witch’s Potion Room, The Vampire’s Lair and The Haunted Library. They work together to solve the problems and escape before time runs out.
