Greast blig post!
I was moved in 2015 after 16 years in 2nd/3rd grade to 6th grade. I am a special ed teacher, so students have added things on their plates. When I was told that I was being "invited" to move to the middle school, many thoughts ran through my mind, and not all of them were nice (nothing related to students or fellow teachers)...
We just finished week 2 at school of my 2ND year, and I DID survive my first year in a place I could NEVER picture myself in...I think back to my last day at the elementary school and my last day of my first year at the middle school, and guess what??? I feel like I have belonged at the middle school, and would not want to return to the younger grades. It is a whole new world, but they ARE a fun group of people, putting the "other stuff" aside. I am retiring in 3 years, and am excited about that, but for now, am cherishing every awesome achievements that the students have!!! Middle School isn't soooo bad :)
