My daughter’s school has a pretty strict policy about unhealthy food. You are not allowed to send anything unhealthy for any reason, unless you seek out prior approval from the administration. This makes holidays a little tough for us parents!
Thanks to the wonderful world of Pinterest, we came up with the idea of melting crayons into heart molds and giving them to her classmates with a card printed from home. Let me just say… I wish I hadn’t learned until the SECOND box of 124 crayons that the wrappers came off much easier if you slit them with a knife first.
I ended up having to make 3 “batches” of crayons. We wanted to be able to give two to everyone in her class, and the 2nd batch came out a little lumpy. But, alas, we are finished – a week early too!
I’ve really been on a designing kick lately – cards, printables, invitations, etc. Even though Emma’s school Valentines aren’t super creative, I played around with some chalkboard paper and Kimberly Geswein fonts (which I adore by the way) and came up with a few free printables for you all!
